I utilize an integrative approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness practices. We will collaboratively create an individualized treatment plan that will fit your specific needs and goals. The therapeutic relationship offers the opportunity in which needs can be nurtured in an environment that supports the development of insight and change. With the resources, increased self-awareness, and skills to function and cope, you can lead with a greater sense of meaning, control and satisfaction. I look forward to engaging in a collaborative relationship that will allow for evolution while I have the privilege to work alongside.
My name is Ciera Taylor and I am privileged to have the opportunity to work with Rosa Avant and assist individuals on their journey to become the best version of themselves! I have always had a passion for helping others and it did not take me long to realize that counseling was my true calling. This realization led me to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2014. Since completing my education, I have worked in various capacities that have allowed me to utilize my counseling skills to help others. I am currently a Licensed Resident in Counseling in Virginia and I work with a wide variety of clients in order to assist with an even wider variety of challenges such as mood-related disorders, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, self-esteem matters, family and relationship matters, parenting concerns, and many more. I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach that allows me to integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, motivational interviewing, systemic therapy, narrative therapy, creative therapy, and client-centered therapy; all of which I adapt to meet the client’s individual needs. It is my belief that every individual is capable of working through difficult life experiences and improving their wellness with the appropriate support and resources. I truly look forward to building a supportive therapeutic relationship that will assist individuals in meeting these goals!
I have known my whole life that my passion was to help people, but I did not take a traditional route to get here. It was a long winding roller coaster ride before I began to walk in my truth. I spent more than 20 years serving as an assistant in the corporate world, supporting others to achieve corporate goals. In 2019 I made the transition to begin helping individuals reach their goals as well. Developing steps to success coupled with support and accountability increases your chances of reaching any goal. And that is what I am here to do. My name is Kristin Strickland and I am a life coach.
It's never too late to pursue that dream or change directions. I specialize in overcoming obstacles and leveling the playing field so you can start the race on even ground through one-on-one coaching and empowerment groups. If you need support getting started or accountability as you move toward your goal then I am here to help.
